This is a collection of poorly recorded practice MP3s, occasionally embarrassing mistakes and all, from sessions in 1999 until 2002. Recorded at our practice space in The Music Building on 8th Ave in New York City. For a time, we shared the space with Stephen O'Malley of Sunn O))) and Khanate...so, yeah, that was pretty cool. These were all one or two mic recordings to minidisc.

These songs are provided primarily as an archive, hence the multiple takes.

Oryx was a prog metal band that ended up as an instrumental experiment because we never found a singer that worked out; this in spite of trying out quite a few. We ended up playing a few dozen instrumental shows over the next few years.

You can see we were very creative with our song titles. Also, where is 8th Song? Only history knows...

This was the band that would become Bloody Panda after we met Yoshiko Ohara.
